For example, we can help you set up a multisite network of your own. Multisite networks are useful in certain marketing strategies, for targeting different audiences, and for managing multiple websites with ease.

We can also provide admin access to the WordPress dashboard and/or the server, though this does have some ramifications. This is a last resort for most businesses and not usually recommended, though professionals with adequate proficiency may prefer this level of access.

Single Site vs Multisite Installations

WordPress can be set up in two different ways: for a single website or for multiple websites. It’s the same WordPress, just two different modes.

Our Explore and Expand plans use single website installations by default. This mode is by far the most common and gives you the freedom to do with your website as you will.

Our Express plan is hosted on the Boundless Network, a multisite installation on the Google cloud. Although multisite limits the flexibility of individual websites a bit, it makes management, security, and performance optimization far more cost-effective, and the whole network benefits from every improvement we make.

And we make up for these constraints by offering premium plugins, including advanced, modern page builders, and other advanced plugins that let you customize your website without writing a single line of code.

The Express Plan and the Boundless Network

Every website on the Express plan is part of the Boundless Network, a powerful multisite installation hosted in the cloud and tailored to the needs of our business clientele.

The Boundless Network comes packed with beautiful professional themes and some of the best performance, security, SEO, management, and other premium plugins. We also backup, maintain, and secure every website on the Boundless Network every day.

The Expand Plan

The Expand plan is designed for businesses expecting or handling significant traffic. Rather than using a dedicated VPS machine with limited scaling potential, these websites are hosted on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The Express and Explore plans have predictable, fixed monthly or yearly pricing schedules. In contrast, the Expand plan has a base monthly or yearly price plus the running cost of resource usage charged by the cloud provider. The Expand plan is a pay-as-you-go plan, in which you pay for the resources your website consumes. Besides taxes and fees we are legally or contractually required to charge, you pay exactly what the cloud service provider charges us.

Websites on the Expand plan are get our full suite of premium themes and plugins, including advanced customization plugins such as the Toolset, Meta Box, JetEngine, and CPT UI and ACF plugins.

We also backup, maintain, and secure every website on the Expand plan. We backup these sites at last once a day. In some cases, depending on your needs, we may back them up as often as three or four times a day.

With very few exceptions, we do not offer server admin access on Expand plan websites. Cloud-hosted servers have more complex configurations, so we take this extra precaution to avoid unexpected changes to settings that may affect the security and performance of your website in unforeseeable ways.
